Seyed Mohammad Ghaffarian is a PhD student of Information Security at Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic). He received his Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence in 2012, and a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering in 2009 at the same university.

My current research interest is in the broad field of "Artificial Intelligence & Computer Security", which means applying AI & Machine-Learning techniques to Computer Security problems, as well as addressing Security & Privacy concerns in AI & Machine-Learning techniques. Main topics of interest are:
- Software Security Analysis
- Low-level Memory Vulnerabilities
- Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems
- Adversarial Machine Learning
- Malware Analysis
My previous research interests were:
- Autonomous Mobile Service Robots
- Computer Vision and Visual-SLAM
- General Artificial Intelligence
- Artificial Neural Networks
S. Mohammad Ghaffarian participated in international RoboCup @Home competitions for three consecutive years (2009 in Austria, 2010 in Singapore, and 2011 in Turkey) as a member of the Sourena team, where he also served as the team-leader in the last two years.

- Linux / UNIX Operating Systems (Specially Ubuntu, Arch-Linux, and FreeBSD)
